Multi-Block Linocut Printing – Step by Step
Learn how I create colourful linocut prints with multiple printing blocks — from the first sketch to the final print.
This course focuses on multi-block linocut printing: the same technique I use for my own work. Alongside the technical side of printing, I also show you how I plan colours, build layers and develop motifs for colourful linocut prints.

My Approach to Multi-Block Linocut Printing
Hey, I’m Anna Hermsdorf. I originally come from a digital illustration background and was looking for a printmaking technique that offered the same creative freedom. Traditional black-and-white linocut often felt too limited to me — working with multiple printing blocks and intentional colour planning completely changed that.
Today I work almost exclusively with colourful, layered linocut prints. In this course I share the exact process I use for my own prints: from sketching and colour separation to building clean, multi-layered prints step by step.
Examples of Multi-Block Linocut Prints
All of the prints below were created using multiple printing blocks. Unlike reduction printing, your blocks stay intact — which means you can always reprint motifs later or experiment with different colour combinations.

Student Reviews
I wish I bought Anna’s course sooner, omg it is everything you need to know.
It was especially good for me since I’m a bit messy when I start something new. Anna really organized everything in my head step by step as well as how to take care of your tools and linos and organize everything so it doesn’t just go all over your workplace.
She has thought about everything and I never had an unanswered question watching it. You’re set up for success!
I’m so excited to continue with the “print on fabric course” that is included in the very affordable price 😍

Ready to Start?
I think a lot of people know this feeling: you’ve wanted to do something creative again for a while. Something away from screens — something hands-on.
And yet it keeps getting pushed aside because everyday life gets busy or you simply don’t know where to begin.
That’s exactly what this course is for. You don’t have to figure everything out on your own first — you can simply start and work through the process step by step, at your own pace.
